Engage In-Game advertising has inked a deal with Greystripe at the ongoing E3 2006 event. Under the agreement, Engage In-Game Advertising, an in game advertising media firm will incorporate the use of Greystripe’s AdWRAP, the first mobile in-game advertising network in North America to help with the implementation and management of mobile in-game advertising campaigns for its clients.

The market for in game advertising is growing at a scorching rate. Very recently Microsoft has purchased Massive, an in-game advertising company. And not only the bigger titles, marketers also sniffed opportunities in casual games as well. Now it will be interesting to see how whether they will be able to extract money from the casual game advertising.

One Nielsen survey says

there are approximately 144 million mobile cell phone users ages 13-54 in the United States — 22 percent of whom pay to download games to their phone. According to IDC, mobile game sales are expected to reach $1.5 billion by 2008.
