This anti-smoking print advertisement launched by Al Mara to make people feel where smoking eventually leads to. The advertisement apparently aims at making people aware about the effects and result of smoking. However, the appearance of the advertisement seems to be slightly perplexing as it struggles to depict the core idea. The advertisement is showing a half burnt cigarette and smoke is going downward than upward as the it has been presented upside down manner.
The downward movement of the smoke clearly spells out which course life would take if indulged in smoking. The presentation of the campaign is good but still its not gripping and making people compelled to take the message effectively. However, the message has been properly conveyed through the help of visualization and the text used in it. The punch line of the campaign reads, ‘Smoking is one un-natural way of going down on life.’ The advertisement was designed by UMS Oman.

It looks like you might have borrowed our image of the burning cigarette and curling smoke.
I would appreciate it if you would add the following paragraph to your text above, describing your anti-smoking ad:
The image of the cigarette and smoke was taken from the box cover of a tobacco prevention educational video, A Talk With Your Kids About Smoking, by Patrick Reynolds, a well known US anti-smoking speaker and grandson of tobacco company founder, RJ Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds denounced the tobacco industry in Congress after smoking killed his father, RJ Reynolds, Jr. The video has been bought by 10,000 US schools and health departments.
Mr. Reynolds,
What an honor to ”meet” you here on Instablogs. I applaude your stregnth and courage to stand up to Congress and am sorry for your loss. It only goes to show that ”what one doesn’t know (or care to believe)CAN kill.”
I am thrilled to hear you have chosen the route to educate the youth in your country about the true dangers of cigarette smoking. In my country, Mexico, it is very common to see gradeschoolers smoking and even more common to see full blown addicts in ”highschoolers” (jr high kids here).
As for the ”borrowing” of your copyright image, after reading the article, which is actually a newslink, it appears that the borrowing was done not by the Instablog writer, Balendu, but actually by the AL MARA company, which has used it’s name on your print for it’s anti-smoking campaign..
p.s. Do you have your video in Spanish? My wife was looking for one for a video elementary/jr high were she works.
Thank you and Saludos,
Oscar
an over reaction that was made by patrick reynolds is a an immature in nature,I suggest that one must observe his comments intensively.
