The Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand, ALAC, has recently launched this insightful and brilliant print advertisement campaign to urge people to consider the effects of hangovers on everyday life. As a matter of fact, ALAC is trying to change the drinking culture of New Zealander in particular as they usually drink too much at a time and accept being drunk. The campaign aims at showing the aftermath effect of the drinking habit which virtually secludes them from normal life. The campaign portrays some everyday events where the person who has been drinking is still experiencing the after effects, and due to this reason he ort she is not capable of being a part of whatever they are now involved in.
The depiction of after effect of drinking habit is simply fantastic and self-revealing. Each person suffering from hangover has been shown trapped in inverted glasses used for drinking. The presentation of the campaign is of course very lucid and explicit. The punch line of the ad reads, ‘it’s not the drinking, it’s how we’re drinking’. The campaign was created by Clemenger BBDO, New Zealand.
