David Moody, director of strategy at the BBC was heard telling The Guardian that it was seeking to fund a website for non-UK surfers with online advertising as it has a whooping one billion page impressions every month from outside the UK. And recently a spokesman for BBC was also heard telling silicon.com the very same issue.
What the BBC is analyzing now is whether they should return the very same money to licence fee payers to invest in programmes. And when launched by 2007 spring it will not bring in pop-ups or rich media overlays as if that would really make things better.
