Two hunters on a deer trail find fur tracks and droppings. Filled with hope, they raise their guns and peep through the view-finders only to find a goat welcoming them with a bleat. Well, that is exactly how one feels about XBox 360’s new ad. Expectations take a beating as the visuals flatter to deceive. Perhaps, the lack of sync leaves one groping for the theme till the very end, which disappointingly turns out to be an anti-climax. Even the lilting classic ‘Old McDonald had a farm’ refrain of the 1970s fails to dig into our enthusiasm. Nothing explains the ad better than the final scene, where Mr.Toothy and Mr.Tooth-less try a little deer charade with antler-shaped twigs, looking stupid and flattening any hopes of revival.
