Don’t poke your guerrilla nose into public life

Advertising sometimes becomes intrusive. We have seen many examples. They got unpunished often. But you can’t always get away with it. That is what this incident regarding the guerrilla marketing effort for Zynga, online gaming space, by agency Davis Elen Advertising.

The agency, with a view to promote the company's latest game: "Mafia Wars: Las Vegas." glued fake $25,000 dollar bills to the streets of San Francsico and New York. But those who are a the city attorney's office were not pleased, as The fake bills forced San Francisco's Department of Public Works cleaning crews to spend three hours steam-cleaning the glued down fliers off the sidewalk.

The agency will face legal action from the city.
