The campaign was targeted to sell Ghost Pops to media-savvy market for which the firm had launched an interactive and engaging buying experience campaign. Following the concept of Ghostbusters theme, advertisers engineered everyday vending machine with motion sensors. Whenever, a person approached the vending machine, it used to start shaking and a ghostly girls voice could be heard that asked the person to come closer and buy Ghost Pops.
When a person bought Ghost Pops from the vending machines, it misted and the word ‘thank’ appeared on it. The advertisers informed that the effect on consumers was remarkable as their reaction ranged from startling at the machine, left intriguing to laughing. According to advertisers Ghost Pops outsold other chips product by 3 to 1. In fact, the campaign was based on a remarkably innovative and refreshing idea.
