I want you to believe me, US military way

KrishDec 3 2005

US Soldiers are simply buying space in Iraqi media to plant and propagate agenda. Military officials stationed in Baghdad described this to Pentagon program, but don't get us wrong, it was done with a 'noble' intention to get the truth out or should we say get the cat out of the bag without any weapons of mass destructions.

Amazingly US Military like a professional media buying house bought advertising as well as editorial space to get an edge over the information battle.

Is propaganda persuasion? Theory does not say so. But US Military doesnt care. Isn't propaganda basically a kind of communication that tries to attain a response (Forced? Desired? who cares anyway) that furthers the preferred objective of the propagandist?

US Military is surely (badly) trying to form a mass public opinion and behavioral change by this exercise. But see I am not saying some very good word about them. Are people fool. Editors must have been receiving a potful of dollars.

Words synonymous to propaganda?
