Maglite- image speaks

A simple idea often works without the support of copy and brings home the idea clearly. This ad for Maglite, created by Ogilvy & Mather/Paris belongs to this category. Here the ad makers try to show the strength and intensity of Maglite through a telling image.

In an art museum, a distracted security guard is looking somewhere else, his mouth agape in clueless wonder. Then the intensity of the maglite makes a piece of art to burn.

Here is no copy, and a copy is not necessary here. The image speaks enough. The puzzled, open-mouthed face of the security guard gives us a reason to smile. Anyway, if you are using Maglite, never look somewhere for a longtime, otherwise you may cause damage to a piece of art.
