Tourism Northern Territory has launched an AU$1.1 million dollar marketing campaign for World Heritage Kakadu National Park. The print ads will be published in the metropolitan newspapers of Australia and New Zealand. The television commercial will run for six weeks.
The 20,000 sq km national park has been home to Aboriginal people for more than 55,000 years. This is the first time that the park has been in focus of such a huge advertising campaign.
Earlier, an Australian Traveler Reader survey poll votes it as the number one tourist place which you must visit once before you die.
In particular trade education will highlight that Kakadu:
• is an easily accessible (about two hours’ drive from Darwin) all-year-round destination,
• offers the traveller much to do and see,
• experiences an annual cycle of six seasons recognised by local indigenous people,
• is best experienced over a few days - allowing time to fully explore its diverse and magnificent landscapes.

AU$1.1 million dollar marketing campaign for World Heritage Kakadu National
Park-This is surely a huge investment and will attract many tourists. however
I’m just concerned that with too many tourists coming the natural beauty does
not get destroyed. These days Asian countries like
China and India are very aggressively trying to boost there tourism sector.
So, it is natural that Australia is doing the same.
