Popular brands need no introduction and this applies to McDonald’s as well. What these brands require when they are not introducing any new product is to keep themselves alive in the minds through a touch of ingenuity. An important part of ad displays is that they are largely meant to grab the attention of the night goers with their dazzling light. To display the message “open all night” in case of McDonald’s, Australia’s DDB Sydney ad agency brought in a mirror with lights to light up the adshel message as darkness descends. If the passersby are looking through the mirror, it is fine but if they chose to see the real display, they would be confused with the mirrored text mistaking it for some alien script, but that is the fun of advertising.

Excellent concept. It take a real genius to even think of that. McDonald’s just knows how to keep the attention going. It’s really amazing that they have achieved so much with such a short menu of products. Some credit must go to these Ads.
