Vonage is using a good way to slice the crowd: Nerds and non nerds. To cast away the perceived 'technology' and 'geek' perception over the technology called VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) Vonage, the VoIP Network Company wants to address directly to people who are not at ease with the latest development of the technology. Hope they get them in plenty.

However, it tells everyone what actually the name of it means or how the name Vonage is derived, I think it would be more effective than the 'no nerd' campaign.
Vonage, the name is a play on their motto Voice over net age.
Vonage it seems is not bothered about the real nerd universe who may find the ad a little bit uncomfortable.
