How do you choose to depict a handmade product in the visual medium as in an advert? Out of thousands of minds will evolve thousands of ideas, some will agree with each other while most will diverge. For Baden Baden’s ad makers Lew’Lara TBWA of Sao Paulo, the stitching book was chosen as an unusual strategy to explain the “hand made” jargon. They stitched the pattern of a glass filled with beer to advertise Baden Baden hand made beer. While the content inside the glass is perhaps, the only important thing prospective customers are interested in, the ad makers thought it best to go for a rather literal portrayal. If hand woven pattern is the only way of depiction of a hand made product, then what about the basic tool – the hand itself?
