Tag Heur, the luxury watch company, has started looking for new advertising agency to handle its global creative account. Many advertising agencies from U.K. and Europe are trying for the lucrative slot, which is being handled by the international marketing director, Thierry Huorn. At present, Geneva based advertising agency, Holistic Communication is the incumbent agency that was handling company’s creative account.

As the company deals in luxurious watches, it has long term association with famous personalities to endorse its products. In the most recent £15 million advertising campaign the company had roped in Brad Pitt and Uma Thurman along with Formula 1 driver Pablo Montoya and tennis player Maria Sharapova.

The company primarily focuses on establishing marketing credentials in the entertainment sector as it is evident in its strap line that reads ‘what are you made of’. Further, the watch company received greater exposure through product placement in movies such as Collaterol and Closer.

The parent company of Tag Heur has recently recorded 46 percent rise in its net income as it rose to €817m from €559m a year earlier. In December 2004, the company had forged a three-year association with Sharapova involving £500,000 a year.
