Telmex Video Security: The big brother is watching

Sijo JosephMay 18 2009

This ad for Telmex Video Security shows a spark of creativity. The ad shows a group of people in an office and analyses them, revealing their most ‘secret’ personal traits. There is a security camera hanging above the group and it ‘closely’ analyses them, even their gender. The ad carries a funny idea, mixed with a whiff of creativity.

Everyone, particularly the office bosses, will be pleased to watch this ad. Keeping an eye on your employees is not as easy as you think. Employees are different. The camera is shown as analyzing the given group in the picture, such as, one who reads other people’s mail, one who leaves early, one who steals office supplies and one who is always late. And, it even finds out that there is a ‘shemale’ among them. It says ‘she is a man’. ( will they install the cameras in the loo, too).

The idea is, to some extent, disturbing. employees are the valuable assets to any company (though, in some companies, some employees are parasites) and not giving them due respect is a ‘professional sin’. Nevertheless, the ad is great because of its sheer demonstration of creative genius.
