When Celebes doing voice over
Wow, isn’t it a who’s who of all list? They are acting in them, but all stay behind the camera and let their voice take over. Kevin Spacey’s is doing it for Honda. Kelsey Grammer is behind Disney. Kiefer Sutherland the voice of Apple commercials and his dad, Donald is the sound behind Volvo ad.
Wait, there are some more. There’s Queen Latifah (Pizza Hut), Sean Connery (Level 3 Communications), Christian Slater (Panasonic), Gene Hackman (Oppenheimer Funds) - and then there’s Julia Roberts’ recent campaign for America Online.
Some people wonder why advertisers pay (they say the astronomical pay packets are not less than seven figures) those celebrities to do the voice over. I mean, even if the name is as celebrated as Julia Roberts, there is always a doubt how many actually will recognize her not so identifiable voice behind AOL?
It’s good for celebrities also. They can afford to go to the studio with the messiest hair, with no make up putting a pajama on.
