When UK war heroes’ wives strip down

Being nude is not charity. But if being nude helps to make a handsome donation to charity organizations, we can’t just shrug it off as mere nudity. Well, wives of UK armed servicemen stripped down to create the Garrison Girls 2010 calendar, but there is more to this story.

Thing is that, the price of this naked effort will go to one of two charities- Combat Stress and Help For Heroes, which supports wounded soldiers. That is the only element which makes it different from other naked advertising circus like PETA do. The initiative was from Sarah Bennett Thurston, and photos were taken by Mick Payton.

However, I am not sure whether all those soldiers are happy to see their better halves exposing their weapons in public, even if it is for a good cause. Why didn’t they try another pose instead of this embarrassing exercise, and smile without hiding their faces?
