Greenpeace: Ordinary bulbs are killing the environment
Greenpeace has launched yet another print advertisement to create awareness about environment conservation using ‘keep it simple and short’ approach. The advertisement apparently gives a call to stop using ordinary bulbs as they consume more energy than actually required and urging people to compact fluorescent lamps as a simple act to stop the climate crisis. The advertisement apparently showing a hangman’s knot that appears like an ordinary bulb to depict climatic crisis due the prevalent use of it.
The presentation of the campaign is no doubt very simple and straightforward however with the use of the text it brings more clarity about the idea. The art direction of the advertisement accomplished a remarkable job. The text of the ad reads, ‘Ordinary bulbs are killing the environment. Just one simple act on your part can stop the climate crisis: switch to Compact Fluorescent Lamps. Find out more at www.banthebulb.in‘. The campaign was created by TBWA\RAAD, Dubai, UAE.
