Junk food celebrity ads for children to face ban in Britain
To fight against children obesity the British TV, media and communication regulator Offcom has set out a menu of possible bans on advertising of junk food and drink aimed at children. If things go straight days are over for celebrities like David Beckham and Britney Spears doing Pepsi-Coke on Television.
To fight against the children obesity Offcom suggests four options. The first proposal is total ban on high fat products advertising during TV programmes meant for children up to nine and under.
The second proposal from the watchdog is a ban on all junk food and drink advertising which aim children up to nine years old.
