Ads of horrors

Sijo JosephJul 18 2009

This scary pharmaceutical print campaign for Novartis sore throat remedy Mebucaine has been done by Saatchi & Saatchi Cape Town. I don’t think that it is the right tactic to sell medicines. You can scare someone and make them buy your product. But to make someone scare is an art, really.

The ads show ‘mouth of horrors’. To indicate the appalling situation of sore throat, the campaign shows some scary images. The victims of sore throat are shown with detestable animals with them which make their throat so painful.

Have a look and forget them, even if you have a sore throat.
